Styling even the smallest place in your home can make a huge difference. The corner of the kitchen counters, the entryway console table, or your bathroom countertop, are all small areas where you could add dimension to your decor! Personally, I love using trays and floral elements when styling spaces! They provide an appealing depth as well as pops of color! Decorative books are also a must! It’s the easiest way to elevate smaller pieces.
Tips for Adding Dimension:
Use different sized objects.
A tall table lamp and a smaller vase. Decorative books of different widths!
Use both vertical and horizontal elements.
Combine decorative boxes and books to elevate small objects. You can also combine a square framed canvas with rectangular prints.
Add trays and florals whenever you can.
Add stems and florals into your vases. When styling a coffee table, add a large tray first, then style on top of it.
Place smaller objects in front of larger ones
This provides the most dimension while allowing both items to be on display.
Elevate the smaller objects on your horizontal element!
If the object you want to style is the smallest of the bunch, elevate that one on your decorative box or book.
